As members of the Property Care Association (PCA), previously the BWPDA, and the Wall Ties Installers Federation we are proud and delighted to confirm that our long term company guarantees may be insured to provide a truly meaningful long term guarantee.

How often is it said about guarantees that they are not worth the paper they are written on!!

Well, today more than ever, regulation is a large part of our lives and the preservation industry has by no means escaped. DWC and its sister companies Regent Homeguard & Axis Stabilisation believe that their regulatory authority, the PCA, has improved the professionalism of the preservation industry by not only setting examinations for all surveyors but also by ensuring all member firms are audited on an annual basis. Once a Company is accepted into membership the company is able to issue an underwritten guarantee if required by the client.

In connection with damp & timber guarantees issued by DWC by paying a small premium our clients will benefit from the continuation of our guarantees in the unlikely event that DWC ceases to trade for whatever reason.

DWC Regent Homeguard Contractors & Surveyors are also registered installers and members of the Wall Tie Installers Federation (WTIF) and are approved to issue WTIF Insured Warranties on completed works. The Warranty is valid for 25 years and is transferable to any new owner of the property. For avoidance of doubt the obligation to indemnify extends to all damages, costs, expenses and liabilities arising as a result of any financial loss incurred by our customers pursuant to the wall ties and workmanship failing to perform their intended function.

The PCA Promise in respect of all deposits paid to a member company provides an element of security to all DWCs clients where a deposit is required to be paid in advance of work starting. The Promise will also mean that if a member company fails for whatever reason the policy will pay for the works contracted for.
